(btw i think its direct translation)
right after the end of attachment, the next day was my long awaited trip to bangkok.
the reason for going to bangkok was the shopping. not the sightseeing and thank god i made the right decision.
bangkok is every shopper's dream. its for every hardcore, addicted shopholics. once you've experienced it, you want it more. its like you've been sucked and absorbed to the world of exciting, orgasmic world of retail. the fact that you can bargain your way through. fuck. i fucking love it. chatuchak and siam square are officially my favourite places in the world.
a normal everyday traffic jam
local thai girl selling flower ornaments by the road
absolutely luurrrvvve chatuchak market
delicious papaya salad
got each for 100 baht, which is around S$4
sticky mango rice
the views from our hotel
erawan shrine
siam paragon
another mode of transportation. the boat. at tha pratunam
a very satisfied person after a great day of shopping at siam square
i love bangkok. the locals spoke thai to me because they thought i was one of them. the people are nice. things are cheap. food was hard to get for me. eventhough its a city, time flew slow (which is a good thing for me). streets were polluted. transportation was easy to get. tuk tuk drivers scare me. you learn to deal with traffic jams. i absolutely love the local student's uniform. there were more dogs than cats. amidst the moderness of the city, the thais are still very cultural and religious (i respect them for that).
i love bangkok.this afternoon i went to the movies and caught havoc.
think poor little rich girls who had nothing to do but join a street gang in the ghetto.
anyway look out for mike vogel.
fresh new face of the year.

a week more to my very last attachment posting of the sem. and its a week break and back to school as an officially yr3 student.
i went to max brenner's recently for the first time. if im not wrong, thats the place where they serve this cold thick chocolate drink. but the menu did not have any pictures that i could relate and the staff did not know what i was talking about.
so in the end the two of us ordered this thing called 'suckao', yes thats how its spelled, with dark chocolate buttons and italian thick hot chocolate. and it wasnt all too bad.
both weren't too sweet and it did not have that immediate after taste.
plus the place is great for a first date. hehe.
jackass: number two.
the movie will be out in the states this september and im sure it most probably wont be shown in singapore. i'll just have to wait for the dvd then.

my whole family is in sunny bali while im stuck in sunny singapore, which sucks but i have the whole house and the car to myself, which is great.
but seriously who wants all that when you have the choice to go bali.
i have to look on the bright side of things kan.
i met anur earlier today and we wanted to watch a movie at the new cathay at dhoby ghaut. most of the shops aren't open yet. as in there is still renovation going on.
anyway we settled on "she's the man".
my sister nila was sorta sceptical when i told her i wanted to watch the movie. she was like "kak are you really sure. its amanda bynes."
but i had a blast watching the show. its not exactly a teen bopper flick. its more to like comedy for the general view. and of course the ending is quite predictable once you watch like half of it.
i laughed really hard and this time round amanda bynes is not too "over the top". the movie is meant for her. it was so hilarious la. i think we were the only ones laughing out loud.
i just finished watching 'brokeback mountain' on dvd. now i have a better understanding why its r21. both jake gyllenhaal and heath ledger were really at it. it grossed me out at first because the whole gay idea is not new to me but the whole intense sexual vibe thing made me squirm. and it kept me thinking. both characters were married and had their own kids but they're love for each other kept their secret relationship alive and them sane. you just can't bury the fact that they are males but to replace it with a normal boy-girl relationship?
i think its beautiful.

i know its been almost two weeks since i last blog but everytime i want to post something i either feel uninspired, tired, tv or do something that requires full attention and its only justce if i give 100% of my full time to type something.
many things happened this past week so i feel its only convinient for me if i list them
- i saw a dead foetus, live childbirth (it was the most fulfilling experience EVER!); both of which i cant go into further details due to ethical reasons.
- i took care of 13 newborn babies in the nursery for full 8 hrs. a whole new record for me.
- i had the dumbest cock lecturer i have ever come across. imagine a lecturer who doesnt know her work but had to rely on students for terminologies and skills that other staff says were WRONG.
- i finally understand ultrasound machines and its quite a relaxing job really.
- i watched x-men twice. yes twice. i dont think its surprising since i know a few ppl who watched it twice or more.
- i got sick. fever. flu. the damn works.
- my will power to not shop is strong this time wrong.
- i have the tickets already. woohoo.
- i accompanied my mother shopping and she actually shopped.
- and i finally i met up with the poly ppl
notice that this guy is in every picture
he is by far the only guy i know who loves to take pictures and once the word camera is mentioned, he yelps with excitement.
my dad bought munich, walk the line, brokeback mountain and a history of violence and for that i love him more.
